13 Dec 2017 --- Kappa Bioscience AS, maker of K2Vital vitamin K2 MK-7, has appointed Garnet Pigden and New Jersey-based D2C to head-up the continued development of Kappa’s position in the US market. The appointment spans the establishment of strategy, infrastructure, partnerships and key accounts in support of an overall objective of solidifying vitamin K2 in mainstream US markets and channels, according to Kappa.
07 Dec 2017 --- DSM has found that one in four consumers spend less than five minutes on breakfast on weekdays, and half of consumers spend less than 15 minutes on breakfast. The findings are some of the results of DSM’s Breakfast Insights survey, which also include suggestions that the main reason for skipping breakfast is lack of time and consumers are paying more attention to the lack of sugar in their breakfast.
02 Nov 2017 --- DSM’s results for the first nine months of 2017 show strong outcomes in the company’s nutrition sector. Overall highlights of the results, buoyed by an especially impressive Q3 performance, include a 9 percent increase in sales to €6.46 billion (US$7.51 billion), with 8 percent organic growth. The adjusted EBITDA is up 15 percent to €1.08 billion, driven by both Nutrition and Materials, and the company’s outlook for 2017 is unchanged.
31 Oct 2017 --- Royal DSM, UN children’s agency UNICEF and Swiss-based humanitarian nutrition think tank Sight and Life have partnered to deliver better nutrition to at-risk children and mothers in Nigeria. The partners will also advocate on a global scale for micronutrient supplementation. As part of the project, DSM is to offer essential vitamins, nutrients and fortification solutions as well as expertise that complements the research, programs, and global reach of UNICEF and Sight and Life.
22 Sep 2017 --- 22 Sep 2017 Royal DSM, a global science-based company active in health, nutrition and materials, has announced the acquisition of Twilmij B.V., a well-established Dutch nutritional solutions company in the animal feed sector. DSM notes that its strategy in Animal Nutrition & Health is to offer tailor-made solutions to its customers leveraging its product portfolio and innovation capabilities.

26 Jun 2017 --- To support the fortification of staple foods in Pakistan, the UK-based Food Fortification Program has awarded Bühler a multi-million contract to supply more than 1000 micro feeders in 2017 and 2018. The program is funded with US$48 million from the UK’s Department for International Development. By directly supporting local mills and food factories, the program is aiming to have a substantial impact on the well-being of close to 100 million people.
16 Jun 2017 --- Evonik and Royal DSM have settled on Blair, Nebraska, as the location for the commercial-scale production facility for their omega 3 fatty acids from natural marine algae for animal nutrition. DSM Nutritional Products and Evonik Nutrition & Care plan to invest around US$200 million in the facility (US$100 million by each party over approximately two years).

21 Oct 2015 --- DSM is celebrating World Osteoporosis Day today 20 October 2015, by highlighting the importance of vitamin D in improving bone mineral density through calcium absorption and deposition. Marking the start of a year-long campaign, DSM is an official nutrition supporter as part of its longstanding partnership with the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF). This has included support of IOF’s research on vitamin D status in both the developing and industrialized world, which concluded that more than one third of the entire global population is showing insufficient levels of vitamin D.
