Laboratoire PYC Launches Novel Anti-Aging Powder
07 Aug 2014 --- Laboratoire PYC, a B-to-B expert in dietetic products and nutritional supplements, has expanded its range of nutricosmetics with a new anti-ageing nutritional supplement. The new concept is an on-the-go powdered product in stick form. This new formula will be presented at the Cosmoprof Asia trade show in Hong Kong from 12 to 14 November next, Stand 1E-FIB (France Pavilion).
Laboratoire PYC, a leader in the development of beauty-boosting nutritional supplement sticks, is forging ahead in the development of effective solutions for the skin. Its latest new product is a peach-flavoured orodispersible powder that dissolves in the mouth and provides a cocktail of four precisely portioned active ingredients. Its composition has been specifically designed to prevent skin ageing: oxidative stress reduction, hydration and prevention of skin sagging. The concept is easy to use and very enjoyable to consume. "The confectionary effect is guaranteed with this sweet and acid melt-in-the-mouth powder,” explains Caroline Focillon, responsible for development. "Our intent was to combine a moment of pleasure with effectiveness!".
The formula has been conceived for Europe and Asia. It includes Vitamin C for its recognised and proven action in the formation of collagen. Collagen performs an essential function in the tissues that support the skin. The Vitamin C content helps to stimulate the formation of intrinsic collagen. In Europe, the following claim can be used: «Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of skin". The peach flavour is particularly popular in Asia, where Laboratoire PYC continues to expand. For the development of this new product, the R&D team drew inspiration from small beauty jellies sold in Asia.
Scientific studies have validated the effectiveness of the anti-ageing formula. In particular, it includes lutein, for which randomised double-blind placebo-controlled clinical trials have demonstrated photo-protective properties that combat oxidative stress and promote enhanced hydration and greater skin elasticity. "Lutein is an antioxidant found naturally in the skin," Caroline Focillon reminds us. Lutien also plays a crucial role in eyesight.
The formula is presented in the form of a 3 g stick. A single dose covers the daily intake recommended by the laboratory for optimal action. This orodispersible formula is fully customisable, both in terms of flavours and active ingredients. "Laboratoire PYC has several orally administered (nutritional) beauty active ingredients available, such as collagen, co-enzyme Q10 and hyaluronic acid. We tailor our product entirely to the customer's specifications," the R&D Department confirms. The company offers a full-service option encompassing the development, production and brand customisation of the sticks.
The anti-ageing stick is the sixth nutricosmetic formula in stick form launched by Laboratoire PYC. The line comprises: a collagen-based nutritional supplement, an anti-blemish formula, an anti-cellulite formula, a skin-hydration drink and a skin-lightening/tone-smoothing supplement.
The entire line developed by this French company is based on highly concentrated and clinically proven active ingredients and the use of natural flavours.
Laboratoire PRC develops and produces custom-designed formulas for numerous brands in Europe, North America and Asia. The company is the nutritional division of SOLINA, which employs 600 people with a turnover of €200 million.
