15 Feb 2018 --- Natures Crops International and De Wit Speciality Oils have entered into a distribution agreement for Ahiflower oil in the European dietary supplement marketplace. This alliance is thought to add strategic value for both companies through each company’s leading position in manufacturing and marketing nutraceutical products.
De Wit Speciality Oils will initially present Ahiflower oil supply to new clients in dietary supplement markets on the European continent. Existing end-user brands that have been supplied by Natures Crops will continue to be supported directly by Natures Crops.

According to Natures Crop, the use of Ahiflower oil continues to increase rapidly in dietary supplements in North America, with the European market likely to see the same development in the next few years.
De Wit Speciality Oils offers a complete range of omega 3-6-9 dietary supplements.
“Bringing plant-based Ahiflower into De Wit Speciality Oil’s portfolio fully complements our range of unique plant and marine-based products. We look forward to a long-lasting cooperation with Natures Crops, and we foresee a bright future for this new novel omega-3 ingredient,” says Gertjan de Wit, Director of De Wit Speciality Oils.
“For manufacturers, we can deliver from stock, but when consumers will find the supplements in shelf depends on our customers,” Niels Booij, spokesperson for De Wit Specialty Oils, tells NutritionInsight. “We already see a wide interest in the product, so we expect it to be soon.”
“By partnering with De Wit Speciality Oils led by Gertjan de Wit, we have aligned with a high-integrity company who have proven themselves as a reliable producer of pure natural high-quality specialty oils rich in essential fatty acids. We are confident De Wit Speciality Oils is the right partner to further commercialize and expand Ahiflower Oil demand in Europe,” says Andrew Hebard, Founder and CEO of Natures Crops International.
