06 Feb 2018 --- Som Sleep has launched its first two products, NSF Certified for Sport RTD sleep supplements Som Sleep Original and Som Sleep Zero Sugar. Both original and sugar-free options are available in a 4-pack, 12-pack and 24-pack for one-time purchase or recurring delivery through the company’s website. According to the company, Som Sleep is low-calorie, gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO and preservative free.
The Original Som Sleep Formula took over a year to develop. The products contain active ingredients that are naturally found in your body, a healthy diet and green tea. Magnesium and vitamin B6 provide the body with nutritional support for healthy sleep patterns, while L-Theanine and GABA help promote relaxation. Som should be consumed 30 minutes before bed for better sleep, the cpmpany notes, adding that the melatonin it contains helps you maintain a normal sleep cycle.

We're really tackling this from an ease perspective, which consumers can relate to. Som is a ready-to-drink option they can easily consume at night before going to bed,” Lily Allyn Gordon, Director of Brand Communication Som Friends, tells NutritionInsight.
“We know there are a variety of products on the market aimed at improving sleep, but Som is one of the few drug-free, non-habit forming options that is safe for nightly use and truly works,” says John Shegerian, the company's Co-founder and CEO.
“We spent over 13 months developing the Original Som Sleep formula to achieve what we feel is the perfect blend of taste and efficacy. We're always open to exploring new sleep solutions, but for now, we're focused on our Original Som Sleep Formula in both Original and Zero Sugar versions,” Gordon says.
In addition to being available on Som's website, Som will be available for purchase through Amazon. The company plans to expand into additional distribution channels throughout 2018.
“We're currently selling exclusively in the United States, but have already seen demand from other countries, so international availability is definitely something we will contemplate down the road,” Gordon notes.
