Alp Nutrition debuts sports liquid supplement in the US
18 Oct 2017 --- Alp Nutrition, a company based in Germany with product ingredients organically grown and harvested in the Swiss Alps, has launched its new Alp Sport liquid supplement in the US marketplace. Alp Sport aims to support and increase physical performance, the immune system, fast regeneration and muscle building.
The supplements space is a fast-growing one, but the idea for developing liquid products came from discussions with elite athletes who were unhappy with taking micronutrients in tablets or capsules, Dr. Oliver Schnorr of Alp Nutrition tells NutritionInsight.
“We are convinced that the segment of liquid supplements will show strong growth over the next few years as it makes sense in various situations to use liquids instead of solid products,” Schnorr adds.
Alp Sport is a concentrated liquid nutritional supplement, originally developed for elite athletes. It contains vitamin C, zinc, magnesium, seven vitamins of the B-complex, coenzyme Q10, vitamin E and selenium. It also contains the unique alpine herbal extract Alp Phyto, including organically grown lemon thyme, melissa, chamomile, mallow, stinging nettle, edelweiss and pineapple sage.
Alp Nutrition further notes that all its products are all developed in cooperation with scientists, physicians and elite-level athletes, and this liquid nutritional supplement can be better absorbed by the body. Alpine herbals are organically grown, and one vial a day is easy to use and covers all daily requirements.
Balanced micronutrients
“Fitness, endurance and rapid regeneration are important for every sports enthusiast, regardless of gender and age. A crucial element in this is the proper supply of micronutrients that control metabolism and regulate energy production,” says Dr. Schnorr. “Alp Sport supplies the body with perfectly balanced micronutrients necessary for regular exercise.”
Alp Sport consists of a combination of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants with the unique alpine herbal extract Alp Phyto, a specially manufactured plant extract made of seven different alpine herbs. The liquid-dosage form and optimized-nutrient combination assure the best effects and high nutrient bioavailability, Alp Nutrition says.
The company notes that among the more recognizable athletes to use Alp Sport are world champion hammer thrower and former world record holder Betty Heidler; Deniz Ilbay, a four-time youth boxing world champion; and Benjamin Haugk, a four-time German powerlifting champion and a two-time top-ten finisher in the world championships.
“Due to the high bioavailability of the included ingredients in Alp Sport, I can cover my increased demand for micronutrients in a perfect way to lower fatigue and recover faster after my high-intensity training sessions,” Haugk says.
“As a young company we will focus on increasing the brand awareness and the further development of the European and US market for Alp Nutrition products,” Schnorr tells NutritionInsight of the company’s plans. “Additionally, we will keep thinking about and investigating options for developing innovations for athletes and consumers.”
